The home screen features a dark green, rounded-square Kibaseq app icon with a white mosquito whose lower body forms a DNA double helix. The label “Kibaseq” appears beneath it. A white Calendar icon reads “MON 6”; blue Mail and yellow-topped Notes icons sit below, with part of the multicoloured Photos icon at the right edge. The phone’s curved metallic frame and black screen extend beyond the composition, keeping the mosquito-and-DNA mark as the main focus.

Biotech brand identity

Biology meets identity.

Biology meets identity.

Biology meets identity.

Kibaseq visual identity board arranged as interlocking rectangular panels with broad rounded corners on a nearly black blue-green background. At the upper left, a large white mosquito symbol has four wings, antennae, fine legs and a DNA double helix for its lower body. The same symbol precedes the white uppercase KIBASEQ wordmark on a dark green panel at the upper right. Below is a black field-kit box with a dark green mosquito graphic, the white logo and the line “Real change starts with this”. A Figtree typography specimen shows paired capital and lowercase letters, numerals and punctuation in white. Four vertical swatches identify dark green, #004E42; very dark green-blue, #0B1719; white, #FFFFFF; and bright lime green, #CEF17B. Along the bottom, a browser-tab mockup demonstrates the mosquito favicon beside “KibaSeq”, while a tilted black smartphone shows the white symbol on the green Kibaseq app icon.
White Kibaseq logo on a deep green rectangular panel. A stylised mosquito sits to the left of the uppercase KIBASEQ wordmark. The insect has a round head, two thin antennae, four tapered wings and fine outward-reaching legs. Its elongated lower body is formed by a twisting DNA double helix with horizontal connecting bars. The simple white silhouette and evenly spaced sans-serif lettering form a horizontal lockup, connecting the mosquito subject with the brand’s genomic theme.

Three-quarter view of a shallow black Kibaseq field-kit box resting on a pale grey surface. The lid carries an oversized dark green mosquito-and-DNA graphic, with a smaller white mosquito symbol and KIBASEQ wordmark placed near the centre. “Field Kit” appears near the lid’s front edge. The front-facing side reads “Real change starts with this” in white, while three small white and lime line pictograms appear on the left side. A soft cast shadow gives the printed packaging a physical, dimensional appearance.

The Logo

The logo combines a mosquito symbol with a DNA-shaped body, paired with a bold, all-caps Figtree wordmark.

Figtree typography specimen in large white characters on a nearly black blue-green background. The first line reads “Aa Bb Cc Dd Ee”, pairing uppercase letters with their lowercase forms. A second line presents numerals and punctuation, including an exclamation mark, an at sign, pound and dollar signs, a percentage sign and a question mark. The unadorned sans-serif characters have rounded bowls, open internal spaces and clean strokes, demonstrating the lettering used across the Kibaseq identity.

The type

Figtree provides a clear, consistent typographic foundation across the brand, website, and app.

Four tall colour swatches sit side by side, with small labels at the top and hexadecimal colour values at the bottom. From left to right they are “Dark Green”, #004E42; “Dark Shade of Green-Blue”, #0B1719; “White”, #FFFFFF; and “Bright Green”, #CEF17B. The first is a deep teal green, the second is almost black with a green-blue tint, and the last is a vivid yellow-green. Broad rounded edges connect some swatches, echoing the curved panels used in the website and identity layouts.

The palette

Deep green and blue-green tones give the identity an organic character, connecting biology with data. Bright green draws attention to key actions and highlights.

Enlarged browser-chrome mockup demonstrating the Kibaseq favicon. A tiny mosquito-and-DNA symbol appears beside the tab label “KibaSeq”, above an address field reading “Kibaseq.com”. The window includes red, yellow and green circular controls at the upper left, with back, forward and reload icons below. Pale grey browser chrome on the left curves into a dark tab and address area on the right, showing how the compact mosquito symbol remains recognisable beside interface text.

The homepage explains the impact of mosquito-borne disease, introduces Kibaseq’s approach, and shows how communities and partners can get involved. Custom animations support a straightforward design that reflects the brand.

Black smartphone mockup standing upright on a pale grey background, displaying the opening of Kibaseq’s mobile website. A white mosquito logo and KIBASEQ wordmark sit above a dark green panel with a sweeping curved lower-right edge. The headline reads “Predicting Outbreaks Before They Begin”, with “Predicting” in lime. Smaller white text introduces moving from reacting to outbreaks toward prediction. Below, a photograph shows a sunlit wetland with trees reflected in the water. A second dark panel overlaps the photograph with another rounded corner. Its text discusses late detection of mosquito-borne outbreaks and emphasises the approach “predictive, not reactive”.
Full-page Kibaseq website layout in very dark green, white and lime. At the top, a small white mosquito logo and navigation sit above “Predicting Outbreaks Before They Begin”. A large curved dark panel frames the headline on the left; a photograph of a wooded wetland fills the right. Three short text columns lead into a blue-toned laboratory photograph showing a gloved hand beside a microscope. Beside it, “In the future, Kibaseq will combine:” introduces genomic data, pathogen screening, environmental metadata and machine-learning models. Lower headings include “Questions we would like to answer”, “What Makes Kibaseq Different?”, “Right now, we are laying the groundwork”, and “What’s Next for Kibaseq”. A large lime statement and a white information band interrupt the dark sections. The page ends with a lime-outlined “Contact Us” button and a footer with the wordmark and grouped links. Broad rounded corners connect the sections.

The centre of the screen is filled by a vivid blue laboratory photograph of a microscope and a gloved hand. Curved dark green panels overlap the photograph above and below. The lower panel is headed “In the future, Kibaseq will combine:”, with “In the future” in lime. Four entries describe mosquito genomic data, pathogen screening results, environmental metadata, and machine-learning models intended to detect risk signals.

Loading sequence

A custom loading sequence opens with a blinking cursor, followed by flickering DNA letters, A, T, C, and G that resolve into KIBASEQ. The animation connects the website’s first impression to the science behind the brand.

A hand holds a black-and-silver smartphone diagonally against a background divided between white and very dark green. The dark green Kiba app screen displays “Early Warning” and “Stay a step ahead”. A muted red “Local Risk” card shows “High risk”, a warning triangle, a location label and a wide lime action button with a right-pointing arrow. Two smaller green cards offer “Check symptoms” and “Find nearby care”. Beneath “In your area”, separate rows list Malaria and Dengue with status text and arrows. A four-item bottom navigation contains Home, Symptoms, Help and Assistant, with Home highlighted in pale lime. This is a designed interface mockup displaying example risk information.
